CS Laundry System Sdn Bhd, established in 1996, specializes in providing commercial laundry equipment and systems in Malaysia. They are sole distributor of the well-known Speed Queen brand in Malaysia. CS Laundry’s offerings are designed for professional laundries, with products ranging from high-capacity washer-extractors and tumble dryers.
Alohomora Pictures and CS Laundry have a long-standing partnership. We started with simple interview videos, but as trust and teamwork grew, we moved on to more complex projects, like this latest CS Laundry corporate video. Throughout our work together, we’ve kept creativity and fresh ideas, always aiming to make our projects stand out. CS Laundry has been welcoming new approaches, open to creative ideas and willing to try new styles of corporate movie. This openness has allowed us to push boundaries, adding more depth and expressiveness to our work.
Over time, we built a solid and mature partnership. For this project, CS Laundry wanted a video that could give a fuller picture of their business. We were excited to bring out their brand in a fresh, unique way, delivering content that is both professional and creative.
One of our main challenges for this project was time. We had only one month, which also meant we were short-handed. So, we posted on Thread to see if anyone could help, and we were surprised to find a few people who were interested in being on board. As a social media platform, Thread has been very helpful for us in the creative industry. Due to the tight schedule, making detailed storyboard seems not like an ideal move for us so instead, we list out detailed shot lists.
The video tells the story of a young woman thinking about freedom in life—financial freedom, time freedom, and her hopes for a meaningful career. A female narrator reflects on these ideas, helping viewers understand the process of building a business relationship with CS Laundry.
You may wonder why IVIN is chosen as our lead of the story. IVIN not only fit our vision but also had a sunny, optimistic vibe that draws people in. IVIN's positive energy also brought good vibes during the shoot.
Many people think corporate videos are usually plain and just informational, but we wanted to challenge this stereotype. We aimed for visuals that are lively and dynamic, showing that corporate videos can have both emotion and storytelling and be exciting to watch. Of course, our love for cinematography has supported that.
Alohomora Pictures has grown from making small videos to now taking on corporate video projects, which has been a step outside of our comfort zone. In Malaysia, it's uncommon to break away from traditional approaches for corporate videos, as clients often prefer a safe, classic style. However, with this project, Alohomora Pictures has brought in emotion and impactful messaging, and the video has received positive feedback from both the client and audiences.
